“Massage” has been practiced as a healing therapy in nearly every culture around the world for many centuries. It promotes our well-being by relieving muscle tension, reduce stress, and evoke a serene feeling. The term “massage therapy” encompasses many different techniques from Swedish to Shiatsu, but basically the idea of a massage therapy is to press, rub and manipulate the superficial and deep layers of our muscles and connective tissues using hands, fingers, forearms, elbows, and feet to enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation.

Question by Jamal: Does anyone know of a way to cure chronic headaches and neck pain?
About five years ago, I developed severe neck pain and headaches that has been with me 24/7 since that time. This occurred around the same time my anxiety disorder and depression worsened. What originally began as severe neck pain spread all across my head. For awhile, it was extremely painful to make any kind of facial expression, but wearing a dental mouthguard while asleep in addition to some types of physical therapy helped. However, my neck pain and headaches are still there. No type of medication I’ve tried from stuff specifically meant for headaches to muscle relaxers and anti-anxiety medications have helped. I’ve also tried massage therapy, chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncture, rolfing, psychotherapy, and hypnosis, but none of those helped.

I no I probably can’t get rid of my depression, anxiety disorder, insomnia, and neck pain/headaches all at once, but I’d at least like to tackle one of them. My neck pain and headache makes it very difficult to think, do any type of physical activity, and causes extreme discomfort when sitting or standing. It’s also affected my memory and ability to learn. I used to have a great memory, which was very important since I previously did a lot of reading, but now I forget what I read almost immediately. Not only that, but my brain can’t seem to grasp metaphors, analogies, and definitions very well. Whenever I try learning new vocabulary, it never sticks. It’s infuriating, because now my mind is so muddled and I’m worried that it’ll keep me from eventually going to grad school and pursuing the type of career I want.

2 years ago last March my wife found out about my gambling addiction. I haven’t gambled since then but it came to a head 3 months ago, she said she couldn’t love me because she hated me so much. We went to relate and they said she suffered from depression and that needed sorting before we could sort our marriage out. She started acupuncture and herbal tablets and seems better in herself but she says she needs me to give her space. I have given her space and kept my distance, we haven’t kissed, cuddled or anything else for ages and I am seriously lonely. We discussed it last night and I am now moving out today. I am ready to call it a day full stop as I just keep thinking she is having an affair with all the comments she makes. She says she could go the rest of her life without sex (not something I could do). I am thinking of telling my 6 year old the truth (very intelligent) and telling the 4 year old I am working away. Can someone please help me?
I am really probably not putting this how it should be, believe me I would really fight for my kids and wouldn’t do anything to hurt them. I wouldn’t tell them about the sexual side of our relationship.
They do know that I used to go to the naughty shop (bookies) and help by telling me to stay away from it I also have been going to GA for 2 years+ so I am dealling with my issues as well as I can. I LOVE MY FAMILY and will be doing all I can to keep it together, I am just going to find it really difficult to deal with being away from them. My leaving home is to give my wife the space she says she needs to deal with her issues (depression etc…) I seem to continuously say and do the wrong things so the decision was made for me to leave (short term hopefully), thanks,

for the last couple of days i have been really stressed out and nervous kinda for no reason
i do have some sleepless nights and sometimes everything around me annoys me so when i have one of those days talking to me or arguing is not a good idea cause i will “blow up ”

i think that its cause of school cause i wanna get my GED as fast as i can so i have been giving me all and i do kinds feel some pressure about that

I’ve got a really bad phobia which is hindering on my life at the moment. I’m on anti-anxiety medication but that doesn’t seem to be helping. I’ve read in an article that they are using a medication that was used to treat TB but won’t be available for another 5-7 years does anyone know of any medications that are out there besides anti-anxiety medications used to combat phobias ? I’ve also tried hypnotherapy, CBT, EFT and acupuncture.

does anyone know anything about acupuncture? ?

i see a natural path doctor for a few issues i have.. some anxiety and depression.
my doctor has given me the option of having acupuncture done.
he told me about it a little bit, showed me some of the needles he will use. he told me that it will probably help me to feel better in some areas, but im very nervous.
i am quite afraid of needles, no matter the size.
i also have a HUGE imagination, and i don’t like the though of needles going into my skin. it just makes me nervous.
so i was wondering if anyone knew anything else about acupuncture that they could share with me?

anything AT ALL would be helpful.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder of the muscles and associated soft tissue, including tendons and ligaments.

Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

Muscle pain, which could range from mild discomfort to severely debilitating and is present either throughout the body or only at certain points is the primary symptom of fibromyalgia. The pain develops gradually and typically occurs in the shoulders, neck, lower back, rib cage, chest or thighs.

The presence of tender points, or tendons and muscles that feel tender when touched, is a key aspect of fibromyalgia. Tender points are usually located in the muscle or soft tissue of the neck, shoulder, elbow, knee, back, shoulder and hip. For a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, the patient should have uncommon tenderness in a minimum of eleven of the eighteen designated tender points.

Most if not all insurance companies have been using expert systems, software that is supposed to mimic highly trained humans , to evaluate car accident and truck accident injury claims. Some insurance companies use it as a tool and for some guidance, but some insurance carriers stick to the response provided by the computer program.

The way these programs work is by taking huge amounts of statistical data from jury verdicts and then comparing it to the case in question. The primary problem is that the data entered is often pre-screened when the jury verdicts are high.
