Chiropractor Practice advice?

Question by : Chiropractor Practice advice?
Now like most of the people that commented on my last question, saying that alternative medicine doesn’t work, but me being 18 and have been on at least 8 different medications that almost killed me and some being very strong sleeping medications and medicine for my digestive system anti-inflammatory for my leg pain and hand pain (caused by several medications combined) and anti-depressant meds, and having a surgeon who messed up a surgery that I was told nothing could be done about the pain that is 4 times more than before the surgery. Not to mention all of the numerous surgery that I undergone when I was just a newborn. As a result I have a permanent scar on my hand where the IV wasn’t in, so my hand busted open, got infection and nearly died, so I got tired of getting the run around and began my own search for a better approach to my ill health only being 18. I found that instead of being pumped full of medicine, an alternative approach to health care worked even better. I started yoga and now instead of the anti inflammatory medicine messing up my liver (I believe the doctor said) I no longer need the medicine and I feel better than ever. Instead of numerous medications for depression that put me into a behavioral ward, I found that meditation has almost ended my depression and my need for add/adhd meds. Also a special diet stopped the need for my digestive system and much needed exercise has done way more, so I know for a fact that alternative medicine works and in my point of view is much better than harsh pharmaceuticals. NOW TO THE REAL QUESTION, I was asking that if I simply did the relaxation and offered yoga and meditation in my clinic as well as acupuncture and hired a massage therapist ALONG WITH THE TRADITIONAL CHIROPRACTIC PROCEDURES, while decorating my practice or building the building with an exotic tropical feel would that bother people being that i’d have Buddha statues, NOW where as before I asked that if that would bother christians because in my town in SC the word Buddha would get you flipped out on being that most of the people needing chiropractors were senior citizens and 95 % here are highly religious, I simply was asking from a religious pov if that would cause me a decrease in customers despite how well of a chiropractor I was.

Any help appreciated.

Acupuncture For Your Health

Article by Andrea Avery

Acupuncture could be the answer to many health concerns. This is an ancient Asian practice that began in China a few thousand years ago and spread into Japan and Korea. Modern day American practices incorporate tactics from all three nations. Thin needles are inserted into strategic locations in the body in order to improve a patient’s health. These needles are so miniscule and slender that they resemble hairs although they are comprised of metal. Many people are afraid that it will hurt to receive this type of treatment, but surprisingly, there is no pain involved in the process. Conversely, many ills and painful conditions are eliminated after a course of treatment. Somehow these points of needle insertion amp up a body

Is this good writing for a 14 year old?

Question by awkward.: Is this good writing for a 14 year old?
Is this good writing for a 14 year old? Would you read on? Any criticism is appreciated! The story is about suicide and this is an intro.

Most people assume that teenagers can’t comprehend any emotion beyond being horny, impulsive and/or lazy. From an adults’ corrupted point of view, they think that kids can’t suffer from depression or any other mental illness. They always say it’s just part of “being a teenager” as if they weren’t all there once, their feelings being dismissed because of adolescence. Although I find it annoying when girls claim to be depressed and prove it by making their status’ lyrics to some Taylor Swift song, not all of us are so pathetic.
This brings us to my life. I like to think of it as being on a see-saw with that kid who brings McDonald’s and Twinkies with him to the park every day. My life is that kid, and my body is on the other side. No control over what’s happening, I fly into the air, as he sinks into the sandbox.
The worst part of it is that I have to lie to ever one I care about and tell them that I’m fine. After all, it’s only helping them in the end. Who wants to listen to me whine about my problems? Well, apparently you do if you’re reading this… but that’s not the point. “I’m okay, really”, “I’m fine” and “don’t worry about it” are my three phrases to getting people to leave me alone. I’m not a secretive person; I’m as subtle as a gun when I’m angry, but if I’m feeling down, you wouldn’t get a reason why even if you shoved pins in my eyes. I could deal with a little acupuncture.
`If I already didn’t put a few insomniacs to sleep, I’m sure you’re all curious about why I’m this way. It’s not because I didn’t get the “purse I wanted” or because “he called my fat”…it’s much deeper than that. However, if I told you now there would be no story, correct? I’m not one for spoilers. If anyone is interested, I would encourage you to read on. If not, go pick up that sappy romance novel about a forbidden love-triangle between a dull human girl, a vampire who wears body glitter and a really hairy guy. Wait, is that supposed to be a werewolf?
This isn’t about me.

Infertility and Acupuncture doesn’t seem to jive when you first hear about it due to the fact that Infertility treatments are usually products of modern medicine, while acupuncture traces its roots way back to ancient china. Infertility is a serious issue for most couples who have tried and tried yet failed to no avail. This is where the unconventional methods of acupuncture enter the picture. It has proven itself worthy of being an efficient partner in infertility treatments with a very high success rate. Acupuncture is defined as the method of controlling very fine needles and inserting them in different points on the body. These points, when inserted with needles, are believed to reduce pain and also provide the body with a soothing, therapeutic effect. This is because acupuncture is a form of physical therapy. It regulates the body by regulating the body’s blood flow and the body’s hormone levels. Hormonal imbalance, one of the reasons for a person’s infertility, is avoided. There are times when acupuncture is actually required before a patient is allowed to enter the next phase of the treatment. It is because of the healing process acupuncture gives the patient, making it even easier for the other procedures to take full effect. Such as in the case of a patient about to undergo IVF, acupuncture is a prerequisite to the process. Acupuncture gives the treatment a higher success rate of ending up in pregnancy. Other infertility complications which could be cured by the help of acupuncture are spasmed tubes, elevated follicle stimulating hormone or FSH, miscarriage, unexplained infertility, luteal phase defect, hyperprolactinemia, and polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS. These are all conditions concerning women. Acupuncture helps in the treatment of sperm-DNA-fragmentation; one of the few infertility conditions concerning men. Acupuncture does not work overnight. It requires a certain amount of time for the body to adjust and undergo the process of healing. This is why a doctor prescribes acupuncture months before a procedure is about to be done to a patient. This will make the patient ready for the procedure and acupuncture will also help in the efficiency of the treatment. In in vitro fertilization, three to four months of acupuncture is necessary before entering the procedure. Other treatments require the acupuncture after the procedure to make the healing process faster.Acupuncture is really safe and budget-friendly. To avoid complications, it is suggested that the acupuncturist you’re getting is familiar with different kinds of infertility treatments or is aware of the relation between infertility treatments and acupuncture. A kind of acupuncture also works as a painkiller for pregnancy labor. This is called electro-acupuncture. It also helps in speeding up the healing process, shortening the stay in the hospital. Thus, saving a lot of money. The most important effect of acupuncture for the infertility issue is the way it relieves a person of stress, anxiety and depression. All these are experienced by couples with infertility problems. Acupuncture helps them relax because sometimes, stress is the reason why conceiving is not possible.

What’s in a word? Acupuncture is derived from Latin and the literal translation is “needle prick” from “acus” and “pungere.” The ancient healing arts of acupuncture and oriental medicine are readily taught throughout the world.

To describe acupuncture, one must first get to the root of its historical backdrop. Dating back as far as 2,000 BC, this age-old art parallels the Han dynasty. Even earlier than that, acupuncture may have possibly originated almost 4,000 years ago, based on hieroglyphic findings and stone (bian) and ceramic acupuncture needles, which have been documented throughout the centuries.

Cost of Acupuncture Treatment

Article by Maxwell Jele

One of the techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine that is very close to Acupressure is Acupuncture. Like acupressure, this method uses the points of energy in the body called meridians; here fine needles penetrate the skin at those points – the method boosts good health and treats poor health.

In times of good health, the energy flows freely through the meridians but injuries and disease tend to block the flow. It is brought down to a simplistic explanation of getting the Qi or Chi to flow without any blockage through the human body in order to maintain a state of good health. You’ll find that there are 14 meridians on the body and these have 365 points for acupuncture.

While the holidays are depicted in movies as a time of idyllic serenity and joy, we have all felt the realities of holiday stress. Financial concerns, gift giving, busy schedules, family obligations, weight gain and lack of exercise all play into the “holiday cheer”. These pressures can affect us physically, emotionally and spiritually often leading to anxiety and depression. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine provide a unique perspective and intervention for these common seasonal difficulties.

Anxiety comes in a wide range of manifestations, from mild worrying to more physical responses such as nausea, insomnia, shortness of breath and panic attacks. Some anxiety is a healthy response to the stress of daily life and new situations; however, anxiety that occurs randomly or excessively is a sign to take notice. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can help balance both the mental and physical symptoms of anxiety and help to create harmony and spaciousness.

Postpartum depression is a serious matter to consider. However, the question to as is, what can be done? If you are the one suffering from this emotional dilemma, do you just have to tough it out? It is comforting to know that postpartum depression has been found to be both temporary and treatable. While rest and family support may be all that is needed for mild symptoms, the key sign that medical attention is necessary is if the depression disrupts your ability to function, says the Office on Women’s Health.

Common treatments are antidepressant medication, talking with a mental-health expert, hormone treatment, or a combination of these, depending upon the severity of the case. Kangaroo, or skin-to-skin, care of the baby may also lessen maternal depression. There are also such alternative treatments as herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathic remedies.
