If phrases like: “By lightly touching the Third Eye Point, for instance,… you can enhance your inner awareness…. and within a few weeks, you may notice that your intuition will begin to increase,” sound reasonable to you, then this book is for you. If your mindset lies somewhere beyond 12th century China, avoid this book like the plague. All the other reviews here indicate that the people who wrote them believe accupressure works. Maybe it does. But, this book does nothing to explain or prove it in scientific terms. Instead, it spouts mystical mumbo-jumbo as cause and effect. If you’re in chronic pain, and don’t believe in fairy tales, then, instead of this book, I highly recommend “The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief” by Clair Davies here on Amazon (ISBN: 1572242507). That book actually uses honest-to-goodness medical research for its recommendations.

This book is very informative, but it is hard for the first-time “acupuncturist”.
Overall, I am learning more about the art from this book, but it could be a little more user friendly.

It would be helpful if can get information/ view the sample pages on the item description, such as the table of contents, etc. That way we will be able to see if the book has what we’re looking for, sort of like in a virtual library; because sometimes you buy a book because it has something specific in the book that you’ve been looking for.

If you are interested in acupressure, buy this book! IT’s well organized and written.

I include this with my THERALASER T2000 for people who want the benefits of acupucture without the fuss of needles and added pain.
